#28 – Turkey, Benjamin Istanbul-i

Hot head (illness / condition)
Definition: The feeling of an acute head pain, as one’s head begins to warm continually.

Often experienced due to lack of, or no sleep in an extended period. The sufferer will become aware of a slight warming as the impending pain begins. This will usually lead to a state of restless agitation, and finally to exasperation, which is often accompanied with the sufferer repeatedly putting his hands on head and then in to the air, repeated multiple times depending on severity. (please see photo 1 at the bottom).

I am in Istanbul airport alone, and with all of my bags, too early to check in and in the grip of a severe hothead episode.

It at least gave me another chance to see the beautiful Ciudad del Este of Paraguay. And by beautiful I mean horrible. If all the worst parts of capitalism could be summed up in one place it would be here.

#25 – Paraguay, Asuncion

I spent the next few days passing back through Argentina on my way to Paraguay – including a nondescript couple of days in Salta which was pleasant enough but not somewhere I fancied staying too long.

When I arrived in to the capital of Paraguay, Asuncion, it seemed that my hostel had been inexplicably overrun by yanks – who I later learnt were all part of the Peace Corps.
